1. Cook the spinach according to package directions. In a colander drain spinach, pressing with the back of a spoon to remove excess moisture.
2. In medium saucepan stir together milk, oil, garlic, salt and hot sauce. Cook and stir over low heat until warm, then gradually add cream cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in spinach and heat through.
3. Serve warm or chilled with crackers.
