OREO Cookie Balls

OREO Cookie Ball


  • 6 oz. (3/4 of 8 oz. pkg.) brick cream cheese, softened
  • 27 OREO Cookies, finely crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
  • 16 – 24 oz. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips


  1. Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
  2. Shape into (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min.
  3. Melt chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then check and stir. To continue melting chocolate, do it in 10-20 second intervals and check and stir after each addition of microwave time.
  4. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place single layer of chocolate covered OREO balls in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
  5. Customize it with your own topic additions or decorative skills.
  6. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
