Do you remember the first time you took your kids to an Easter egg hunt? I do. My daughter was a bubbly 7-month-old and she spent the entire time giggling from her stroller. Know what else I remember? All of the identical baskets getting mixed up and causing confusion. I've been making my daughter a unique basket every year since and they've always been beautiful and attention-grabbing. This year, I decided to make an Easter basket full of colorful bows for her. I stocked up on all of the materials for extremely affordable prices at my Easter Headquarters, my local Family Dollar store. This DIY was really easy and only took about 8 minutes to make.
- Hair bows
- Flower gift bows
- Transparent tape
1. Remove the part of the clip that opens as well as the curved part in the middle. I did that by squeezing on the sides where they connect.
2. Using your pencil mark where you plan to place the bows on the basket.
3. Take the bows and gently attach them to the basket by pushing their clips in between the spaces in the basket.
4. Using tape, attach the bows to the sides of the basket.
5. Voila! You're done.
Isn't that easy? It came out so pretty and I can't wait to see my daughter's face when she sees it.
I’m glad that this was a super-fast DIY basket and I was able to get everything I needed for Easter, including candy, accessories, and Easter décor at Family Dollar. If any of my daughter’s friends request one, I can easily whip them up (in different colors of course).
