Make a Football Party Kit
This post is sponsored by Family Dollar.
We are ready for some football, are you? With The Big Game quickly approaching, you'll want to make sure you're stocked up on all the perfect football party essentials! So, why not make a party kit? This not only works to make sure that you're stocked up for game day, but it makes a great gift idea for your favorite football fan!
To make your kit, you'll want to make sure that you're stocked up on some essentials. We purchased everything for this kit at Family Dollar. From the cooler, to utensils, to food items, and even a football, we were able to find some great items for putting together this fun tailgating kit without breaking the bank! There are so many different things you can include in a kit like this and you can even tailor it to the recipient if it will be a gift. But for our kit, we went mostly with some football party essentials.
Here's the list of everything we bought for our kit at Family Dollar. (Money-Saving Tip: When you're shopping at Family Dollar, make sure you check out the Weekly Deals and then use their Smart Coupons to save even more):
- Cooler Bag
- Plastic Cutlery
- Plastic Cups
- Cans of Soda
- Aluminum pans
- Condiment bottles
- Toothpick Dispenser
- Large Plastic Storage Bags
- Paper Towels
- Food Baskets
- Lighter (for lighting the grill or your fire pit)
A cooler is an obvious choice to start with! You certainly can go with a large Styrofoam cooler, but the versatility of cooler bags is SO nice. This one holds 18 cans - perfect for a tailgate! And bonus points if you can find a bag like this with your favorite team colors! To put the kit together, you can start by putting some of the cans inside the cooler!
Then, add the essentials to your kit! I stacked the cooler inside the aluminum pans. Those pans are SO handy for home football parties and tailgates! Baggies are really useful for transporting items and keeping leftovers! The paper towels are also a good pick because they pack a little more cleaning power than napkins. Plus, a small paper towel works great in the "burger baskets". Those food baskets are so fun for serving football finger food in!
Once you've purchased all your items, load up the rest of the cooler with the items for a fun gift presentation! The football is a fun finishing touch. If you're giving the kit as a gift, you could even tie it to the top of the cooler. Otherwise, it's just a fun item to have in your party kit, giving guests something fun to do before the game starts!
