Holiday Beauty Tips by Channing Hargrove

I don’t really need an excuse to jazz things up, but the best holiday makeup tips always surface around this time of year. I guess because everyone is looking for new holiday makeup ideas to step up their normal routine.

Lately, a sure fire way for me to create more drama in the beauty department is wearing a bold lip. But for the holidays, I wanted to try a new trend. During Family Dollar’s Fabulous event, a makeup artist assured me that I could wear a bold lip and colored eyeliner.

Expect to see me at all the parties rocking this look using beauty Fab Picks I found at Family Dollar!

First, I prime my eyelids with L.A. Colors’ eye shadow primer. Then I sweep a champagne color from L.A. Colors’ 6 Color Eye shadow palette. Here’s where I up the ante. I apply L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencil in Summer Love—a sparkly hunter green—under my eyes for a pop of color that won’t compete with a bold lip.

After defining my eyebrows, I curl my eyelashes and apply L.A Colors Bold Lash mascara.
When you wear dark colors on your lips, it’s important to add color and definition to your face so a bold lip won’t wash you out. I like Black Radiance’s Artisan Color Baked Blush in 8305 Warm Berry.

Finally, I color in my mouth with L.A. Colors’ Chunky Lip Pencil. I can slide into my pumps, throw the Yeti over my shoulders, and head out!

What are your holiday makeup and beauty tips?
