Winter is here! Time to put up your Christmas trees, bundle up in big warm jackets and get ready to eat tons of holiday food! It also means new transitions in fashion and beauty, so I invite you to discover some new beauty items at Family Dollar this holiday season. From finding the perfect eyeshadow to the awesome lipstick, it’s all thanks to my local Family Dollar for having these amazing beauty products that sure made me get into the holiday spirit. Something else that is great about Family Dollar is their prices and how you don’t break the bank, especially around the holidays, when you can get more for your money.
This winter is all about glitter eyeshadows, bold dark lips and smokey eyes. Do you have your beauty items ready for the holidays?
I love to wear smokey eyes with a natural nude lipstick or have light eyes paired with a bold red lip color. Honestly, any look can be transitioned from day to night by just adding a bold lip color. And that’s great when you’re bouncing around from holiday party to holiday party.
Here are the items that I used to achieve this look:
- L.A. COLORS CONTOUR PALETTE : LIGHT MEDIUM
- L.A. COLORS EYESHADOW : PURPLE CASHMERE
- L.A. COLORS SHIMMER BRONZER : RADIANT
- L.A. COLORS MATTE LIQUID LIP COLOR : DANGER
- L.A. COLORS BROWIE WOWIE : DARK
- L.A. COLORS EYELINER: BLACK
- L.A. COLORS BLUSH : MINK BC143
- L.A. COLORS PRESSED POWDER : TAN
- L.A. COLORS LIQUID MAKEUP : DEEP BEIGE
- WET n WILD BRUSHES/ L.A. COLORS BRUSHES
- L.A. COLORS DRAMA LASH MASCARA: BLACK
I like to make sure my skin is clean and prepped before applying makeup.
I start off by using my blender and applying my L.A. Colors foundation.
I then applied the pressed powder to set the makeup and then move on to my eyebrows since no one likes a bare brow these days.
I used the eye shadow palette from the lightest to the darkest by applying it on my lower to higher eye lid. Blending is key when comes to applying eyeshadow, especially for a smokey eye look.
After filling in the brows, I added the L.A. Colors eyeliner to make my eyes stand out.
Of course we can’t forget to contour the face and add some color with the pink blush.
Then I used the shimmer bronzer to highlight the face and nose, and to finish off the look I added this amazing lipstick in the color Danger!
What keeps me going back to Family Dollar for my beauty needs is their variety of brands and, of course, the prices. You just can’t beat them!
