Are you ready to get festive for the holidays? This year, I'm loving the look of gold and white Christmas decorations. Sounds pretty fancy, right? Well, I'm going to show you how to get this fancy look on a budget when you shop at your local Family Dollar. You won't even believe how far you can stretch your holiday budget with just $25 like I did with this gorgeous holiday look.
I'm inviting you to discover something new with me for the holidays. With a trip to Family Dollar and some creative ideas, you can create a Christmas style that's all your own. After checking out all the seasonal offering this year, I decided on this pretty gold and white theme. It really matches my home decor perfectly. Let me show you all of my pretty finds and then I'll show you how I got creative and added my own personal touch.
Creating a white and gold theme started out easily because I found the cutest 4' white Christmas Tree at family dollar. Now, all I would need to do is find all of the right gold and glittery ornaments to decorate with. There was a lot to choose from, so I picked up traditionally shaped ball ornaments and this lovely gold beaded garland.
And, no tree is complete without a topper. I found the perfect glittery gold star that I instantly fell in love with.
Now that all of my basics are in place, it's time to put that creative twist on things. I can always count on $1 WOW Items at Family Dollar to hook me up with a great deal. I spotted the most gorgeous glittery gold mesh ribbon and knew it was just what I needed to make my holiday decor pop!
There are three ways that I used this simple gold ribbon to elevate my holiday decor. It's these simple personal touches that really make my diy decor stand out. Here is what I did:
I created bows to use as Christmas tree decorations. I did this by trimming pieces of the ribbon out, pinching the center together and keeping together with ornament hooks. I wrapped one end of the hook around the center and left the hanger loose so that I could hang the bow on the tree. So simple.
Using the same method to make more bows, I wrapped the entire ornament hook around some so that I could use them to decorate other things around the house. One of my favorite diy decorations that I came up with involved me "wrapping" a painting that I already having hanging at home with one of these DIY bows. This is an easy and no-fuss way to make your home festive.
Lastly, I plan on using some of these bows to top my holiday gifts this season. Having matching gifts under the Christmas tree will easily add to the beauty of your holiday decor. I love it.
I'd love to invite you to join me in Discovering Something New this holiday season at your local Family Dollar. When I'm not in the seasonal aisles, you'll find me in the party supply aisle where my creativity always soars. It's easy to make every day a celebration with all of their budget-friendly finds.
