The beauty of this recipe is you just dump the ingredients into the slow cooker and let it cook! That’s why it’s often called “Dump Cake”. There is SO little work involved, leaving you more time to prepare other food or enjoy a moment with the family! Here's the simple recipe:
Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Cherry Dessert:
- 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- Grease slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
- Spread contents of both cans of cherries on bottom of slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter and cake mix (until a sort of crumb mixture is formed).
- Crumble the cake mixture over the layer of cherries.
- Cover and cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.
It is SO tasty and SO easy! One great way to serve it up is in little individual ramekins.
Or for something a little more festive, you can serve it up in one of the cute Christmas dishes from Family Dollar. This Santa dish is perfect for a more “family-style” presentation, allowing guests to dish up their own portions! Delicious and cute!
